How to Apply GrabFast Gold
Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust, oil, grease and other contamination before bonding.
Materials should ideally be conditioned to a suitable room temperature before application.
- Hold the spray gun parallel to the substrate.
- Apply a consistent coat of GrabFast Gold to both surfaces being bonded.
- Ensure adequate and even coverage without allowing the adhesive to puddle.
- Where possible, spray one surface horizontally and the second vertically to create a cross-hatch pattern.
- Allow the solvent to flash off.
- Check that the adhesive is dry and does not transfer when lightly touched.
- Carefully align the two components.
- Bring the adhesive-coated surfaces together.
- Apply firm and uniform pressure across the complete bond area using a suitable roller where appropriate.
Important Information About Contact Adhesives
GrabFast Gold is a contact adhesive, meaning adhesive should normally be applied to both surfaces and allowed to flash off before the components are brought together.
Once the two correctly prepared adhesive surfaces make contact, the initial grab can be extremely high.
Always ensure components are positioned correctly before allowing the surfaces to make full contact, as repositioning may be difficult.

Cold Weather Use & Storage
Canister temperature can significantly affect spray performance.
If the adhesive has been stored in a cold environment, allow the canister to acclimatise to a suitable working temperature before use.

Canister System

Once a hose and spray gun are correctly attached, the system provides a portable method of applying contact adhesive without requiring a separate compressor.
