HB42® Ultimate LXP Foam – Ultra-Low Expansion PU Foam
HB42® Ultimate LXP Foam is a professional-grade, ultra-low expansion polyurethane foam ideal for sealing, fixing and insulating. Its superior adhesion bonds to concrete, brick, stone, wood, plaster, metal, plastics and more – making it a versatile solution for trade or DIY projects.
Key Features
- Ultra-low expansion – maximum 2x its initial volume.
- Perfect for fixing window and door frames, insulating cavities and cracks, and sealing around pipework, cables and ducting.
- Adheres strongly to concrete, brick, stone, wood, plaster, metals and most plastics.
- Quick tack-free time: approx. 6 ± 2 minutes (FEICA TM 1014).
- Cutting time: 30–70 minutes (FEICA TM 1005).
- Excellent yield – up to 35 litres from an 850 g can (ASTM C1536).
- Fire classification: B3 (DIN 4102).
- Light yellow colour for easy visibility.

Application Instructions
- Moisten the application surface lightly with water to speed up curing.
- Ensure the foam can is at room temperature (5 °C – 30 °C).
- Shake vigorously before use.
- Turn the can upside down, fit the straw to the valve and gently pull the trigger to apply foam.
- Account for expansion during curing; do not overfill gaps.
Packaging
Supplied in 750 ml / 850 g aerosol cans.
Storage & Shelf Life
- Store upright in a cool, dry place (5 °C – 30 °C) with max. 50% humidity.
- Shelf life: 18 months from production date when stored correctly.
