EVO-STIK General Purpose Aerosol — Solvent-Based Pressure Sensitive Adhesive

EVO-STIK General Purpose Aerosol is a solvented pressure sensitive spray adhesive offering rapid drying, excellent initial grab and reliable adhesion. Supplied with an adjustable nozzle and an ozone-friendly propellant, it provides an economical and controllable method of application for a wide range of light bonding tasks.

Recommended Uses

• Bonding foam, cork, felt and other lightweight materials to themselves or to wood, glass, metal and rigid plastics.
• Attaching polythene sheeting to itself, masonry or metal (suitable for temporary tenting / protective covers).
• General DIY, craft and light construction applications.

Not suitable for solvent-sensitive materials (e.g. expanded polystyrene) or plasticised surfaces.

Application & Bonding Instructions

1. Work in a well-ventilated area.
2. Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose material. If degreasing is necessary, try detergent/water first; where inappropriate, use a suitable solvent (e.g. EVO-STIK Cleaner 5) and allow full evaporation before application.
3. Shake the can thoroughly before use.
4. Adjust the variable nozzle by rotation to select the desired spray pattern.
5. Hold the can approximately 150–200 mm from the substrate and apply evenly.
6. Non-porous surfaces: For maximum strength, spray both surfaces, allow adhesive to dry (1–3 minutes) then bring surfaces together and press firmly across the bond area.
7. Porous surfaces: A one-way wet application allows some repositioning. For very porous substrates, apply two coats allowing the first coat to dry before applying the second.
8. Excess adhesive may be cleaned off with white spirit.

Storage & Shelf Life

• Store in a dry place out of direct sunlight at 10–30 °C.
• Protect from frost.
• Shelf life: 12 months in original, unopened container when stored under recommended conditions.
